Did I mention that I love the holidays? I think I did… But just in case, let me just say it again. I love the holidays! Decorating for Christmas is one of my favorite things to do and I look forward to it all year long! I recently posted about adding holiday spirit to my front porch which was a lot of fun because it was my first time having a cute little front porch to decorate! So when my mom asked me to help her decorate her brand new (AMAZING) dining room table, I jumped right on it. I knew a cute little holiday table setting would be just the perfect touch to her new house.
We decided to go with a bit of a country look and started with these cute little plaid napkins, and bought little jingle bell napkin holders.
Then we went in search of plate settings and found these adorable little Christmas trees! And of course, when we found the burlap placemats, we knew we had what we were looking for.
We initially planned to use all white plates underneath, but there weren’t enough to make a full set, so we explored the idea of red plates. In the end, we loved the idea of mixing and matching. Once we got all the settings in place, the middle of the table looked too empty and we struggled with a center piece. We had purchased this cute little lantern, but it looked lonely in the middle all by itself. I suddenly remembered that mom had a beautiful wreath she hadn’t found a place for yet.. and I knew it was exactly what the table was missing.
I was so completely thrilled with how Mom’s table turned out. I absolutely love this cozy, country Christmas table!
It’s kind of hard to tell in this picture, but there’s a hint of light blue in the plaid napkins, and it ties perfectly with the chairs in the living room. It really did turn out so great, don’t you think??
